Looming Lady Blog
It started out as a hat. Then I decided to make a gardener’s sack. I was working on a 72 peg loom. The hat seemed to be taking forever. So I made the bag. Have you ever changed a project mid pattern? I’m so pleased I think I’ll make one in purple for my niece for Christmas. I’ll put in a set of 2 inch starter pots, hangers for the pots, seeds, sunscreen, maybe even a set of fingerless mitts. I made a handful of things this week with my yard sale yarn. Of course I work, have other things to do. But I enjoy my yarn habit and want to make pretty and useful things. This week I made a Smurfette, a dog collar, an American heart, and the bag. All of these projects were off the loom. I used 2 small balls of about 2 inches each. I also used a tiny ball of dark blue, a tad of white yarn, and a skein of multicolored yarn. So week 1 was a success, I think. I have plans for next week – the new garden bag, more hats, a C3P0 to go with my R2D2. Three more weeks to clear some of my yarn stash! How many of those hats can I make? Check out my growing gallery of projects and download pages.
