Looming Lady Blog
I’m a fan of yard sales. They are great places to find things cheap. This weekend I found yarn – a lot of it. What’s more is that I bought a lot of that yarn. Look at my find. Two bags – one of 10 skeins of yarn and one with 5 large bags of partial balls. What a haul. The question now is – what do I do with it all? I decided to do a self-challenge. How many yarn projects can I complete in 4 weeks? How much yarn can I use up in that time? The games are on. I started with 3 projects in 2 days. I made an R2D2 from Star Warson a 12 peg loom. Just on a whim, for decoration. Then I crocheted a hat and bag. It is for a 7 year old great niece. I plan to put a book, a small notebook and a pack of gum inside. Of course ,it is June but even summer can have a chilly d ay or evening. Also, I have 10 nieces and nephews and 3 great nieces and nephews with another on the way. So I want to make hats for each one for this coming fall. That is 14 winter sets… Maybe I didn’t buy enough yarn! Maybe I should quit work. What’s next in my race against time and a couple of big bags of yarn? Check out my new yarn gallery to see photos and my Yarn Crafts page for patterns!
